A law firm headquartered in New York seeks a Trust & Estates Paralegal to provide a high level of service to attorneys and clients. This position will involve compiling, reviewing, and filing all wills and trust documents, including agreements, affidavits, releases, petitions, and disclaimers. The T&E Paralegal will be responsible for preparing gift and estate tax returns, maintaining banking and asset records, and handling beneficiary disbursements. This individual will also assist with preparing formal and informal estate and trust accountings as well as computing trustee commissions.
This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of related trusts and estates experience. The qualified candidate will be well-versed in estate administration and trust accounting, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals. He or she must also be proficient with Excel and have the ability to effective manage and prioritize a high volume of work.
