An outstanding law firm seeks a Director of Associate Recruiting to be based in the firm’s New York, Boston, or Washington, DC offices. This strategic, leadership position will involve managing a team in the execution of talent acquisition efforts, with a focus on law students and lateral Associate candidates. The person in this role will be responsible for overseeing the successful realization of on-campus interview processes, developing strategies for lateral attorney acquisition, and making hiring recommendations to the Chief Talent Officer and Recruiting Partners. The Director of Associate Recruiting will also be tasked with training and mentoring the recruitment staff, analyzing trends and statistics, and setting departmental goals and budgets.
The firm seeks a legal recruitment professional with a bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of related experience in positions of increasing responsibility. The successful applicant will demonstrate highly effective leadership and communication skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team. The Director of Associate Recruiting must be able to think strategically, and will be able to successfully pitch the firm to potential applicants. In addition, he or she should be adept at managing projects and identifying ways to enhance the firm’s talent acquisition processes. Lastly, this person must be flexible to travel or work overtime as required.
