A renowned law firm in New York is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join the team. The Paralegal will create, edit, and proofread complex legal documents, review dockets, and ensure that business transactions are coordinated in a timely manner. In addition, he or she will contribute to case administration by conducting in-depth research, updating files, and tracking filing deadlines. The position will also involve cite checking briefs, organizing exhibits, and preparing for hearings or trials. In addition, he or she will work with the e-discovery team on electronic production and case management.
The successful candidate will have at least four years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal and a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate. The successful candidate will be well-versed in case administration and have familiarity with bankruptcy forms, court clerks’ offices, and claims agents. He or she should also be proficient with cite checking and flexible to work overtime as needed to meet the demands of the role.
