A leading international law firm is seeking a Professional Development Manager to join the New York team. The Professional Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the success of lateral associate integration processes, providing professional development coaching to associates, and organizing a variety of continuing education programs and events. This exciting position will involve planning orientation and team-building activities, determining mentor pairings, and serving as the New York professional development contact. Additionally, the Professional Development Manager will conduct exit interviews, implement new initiatives based on associate needs, and set strategic goals for the department.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience in a professional development role; a JD or MBA is preferred but not required. Qualified applicants will have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. The Professional Development Manager must also be able to interact professionally with Partners and Associates at all levels.
