Position Description:

A family trust office seeks a Paralegal with Trusts and Estates experience to join the Midtown Manhattan office. The person in this role will work closely with the organization’s Trust Officers to execute all trust activities, including preparing documentation, coordinating the payment of invoices, and ensuring trust compliance. This position will involve conducting investment reviews, handling account openings and closings, and maintaining records, in addition to organizing materials for client meetings and Board members. The Paralegal will also be tasked with conducting due diligence, performing research, and communicating with clients.

Required Skills:

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant trusts and estates experience. Additionally, the team seeks a professional with familiarity with trust accounting matters and proficiency using trust accounting software systems. The qualified applicant will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability work effectively in a small family office. He or she must also be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise a strong sense of judgment.
