Position Description:

A terrific law firm seeks a Director of Human Resources to be based in Hartford, CT or Stamford, CT. This position will involve overseeing all facets of employee relations, performance management, professional development, staff recruitment, and benefits administration, as well as supervising a team in the completion of all HR functions. The Director of HR will be responsible for developing the firm’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and working as a business partner to other departmental managers. The person in this role will also be tasked with identifying ways to enhance operational efficiencies, resolving any personnel issues that arise, and conducting exit interviews, as well as promoting an environment of collaboration, inclusion, and wellness.

Required Skills:

The firm seeks a highly qualified human resources professional with a bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of relevant experience in a law firm or similar professional services setting. The candidate selected for this opportunity will demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to lead a staff and serve as a trusted advisor to firm leadership. The Director of HR must also be knowledgeable of HR laws and best practices as well as adept at exercising strong judgment and maintaining confidentiality.

Annual Salary (US$): 191K-200K /annual
