Position Location: New York, New York
An international law firm seeks a Business Development Manager to reside in either the NY or DC offices. This strategic, results-oriented role would focus on the support of the firm’s Litigation and IP practices, including more than 600 lawyers worldwide. The person in this role will be responsible for determining new marketing initiatives for individual attorneys, crafting pitches and responses to RFPs, and identifying cross-selling opportunities. The BD Manager will be tasked with planning targeted campaigns and client events, conducting extensive research, and tracking the success of ongoing or completed initiatives. He or she will also manage subscriptions to ranking publications and support the training and professional development of other staff members.
The firm requests a legal business development professional with a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of experience in professional services, with previous law firm experience preferred. This individual should possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate leadership, initiative, and a proactive approach. The successful applicant will also have the ability to effectively prioritize multiple ongoing projects while maintaining an even temperament during high-pressure situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, as well as familiarity with a CRM system such as InterAction.
Annual Salary (US$): 161K-170K /annual
