Position Description:

A prestigious NY law firm is presently seeking a Managing Attorney to drive the continued success of the firm’s Litigation Practice. The person in this role will oversee a team in the maintenance of the firm’s docket, the preparation of the litigation calendar, and the coordination of all e-filing activities. The Managing Attorney will be responsible for offering significant procedural guidance to all litigators across several of the firm’s locations as well as providing training to attorneys, new team members, and other firm personnel. Moreover, this position will involve implementing and developing best practices regarding research strategies, communications with the courts, and other litigation processes. Other responsibilities will include calendaring filing deadlines, drafting legal documents, and alerting the attorneys of upcoming matters, in addition to effectively resolving any issues that arise.

Required Skills:

The successful candidate will possess several years of experience in a Managing Attorney or Managing Clerk’s office in a large law firm setting and previous experience working in a supervisory capacity. A JD is required along with admission to the New York State Bar. A strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules is necessary, along with proficiency in electronic filing and calendaring procedures. Other required attributes include strong leadership skills, a proactive and strategic approach, and the ability to apply a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Annual Salary (US$): 201K-Plus /annual
