Position Description:
A dynamic law firm with a successful Intellectual Property Practice seeks a Patent Prosecution Agent to join the New York office. The person in this role will draft applications, correspond with inventors, and provide guidelines to clients. They will be tasked with managing filings, proofreading and revising practice-specific documents, and conducting legal research with online databases such as the USPTO site. The Agent will also conduct patent due diligence, complete patentability assessments, and review third-party patent clearance searches.
Required Skills:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience as a Patent Prosecution Agent. The qualified candidate will be well-versed with related terminology, procedures, and filing requirements. He or she must be highly organized, a self-starter, and a team player.
Annual Salary (US$): 130-150K /annual
