Position Description:

The New York office of an internationally recognized law firm seeks a Business Development Manager for the Disputes Practice. This position will involve developing and executing strategic business plans for individual attorneys, identifying opportunities with key clients, and preparing tailored pitches and responses to RFPs. The BD Manager will be responsible for recommending cross-practice initiatives, supporting lateral integration efforts, and organizing participation at conferences, CLEs, and other speaking engagements. He or she will also be tasked with planning events, updating marketing materials, and overseeing the work of junior team members.

Required Skills:

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of legal marketing experience; previous experience related to disputes is also required. The BD Manager must have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent technical proficiencies, and the ability to work well under tight deadlines. In addition, this individual should be able to effectively prioritize competing tasks and maintain a professional demeanor during high pressure situations.
