Position Location: New York or New Haven, New York

Position Description:

A successful law firm is seeking an Estate Administration Paralegal to work in either the New York or New Haven office. The Paralegal in this role will be responsible for preparing probate documents, gift and income tax returns for large estates, and income projections, as well as maintaining bank accounts and related financial information. This person will be expected to assist with federal and state audits, calculate estimated taxes and cash needs, transfer assets to beneficiaries, file all necessary paperwork, and prepare postmortem planning calculations.

Required Skills:

The firm requests a candidate with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years as trust and estate paralegal. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines with strong attention to detail, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. The firm would like the candidate in this role to also have proficiency with Microsoft Office programs as well as FileSite.
