Position Description:

A renowned law firm seeks a Chief Financial Officer to direct all accounting operations and who will build, mentor, and develop the team in a collaborative and respectful work environment. The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Chief Operating Officer and manage direct reports including the Accounting Manager and Billing Manager. This position will involve overseeing firm-wide treasury functions, managing the firm’s external audit and tax return preparations, and ensuring the firm’s financial systems are secure, maintained, and enhanced as needed. In addition, the Chief Financial officer will develop and manage the preparation of financial analyses and reports on profitability.  

Required Skills:

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (CPA preferred) with a minimum of 7 or more years of finance experience in a law firm environment. The individual must have a proven track record of leading initiatives, managing projects, and implementing process improvements in a highly collaborative organization. The Chief Financial Officer must be a strategic thinker with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple interests in a demanding environment. The candidate should also have excellent management, communication, and organization skills.
