A non-profit research and business membership organization seeks an Associate Director of Human Resources to join a talented team of professionals within the New York office. The person in this role will play a strategic and hands-on role regarding benefits and compensation, performance management, staff development, employee relations, and talent acquisition. The Associate Director will be responsible for partnering with the Chief HR Officer on all people-related initiatives while enhance employee engagement and management effectiveness. This position will also supervise other HR team members, advise on matters related to compensation benchmarking and benefits planning, and collaborate with external vendors and professionals on HR activities.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and over 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience. The qualified applicant will be well-versed in all state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation administration, and general HR best practices. The Associate Director must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to exercise a professional, diplomatic, and strategic approach. This individual should be extremely detail-oriented and capable of excelling in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
