Position Description:
A nationally recognized law firm seeks a Manager of Professional Development to lead attorney development initiatives within the New York office. This strategic position will involve designing and implementing related programs as well as evaluating performance metrics, staffing assignments, and attorney utilization. The Manager will support the attorneys by answering questions regarding career planning and transitions, recommending resources, and sharing feedback from Partners. This individual will be tasked with identifying ways to enhance orientation and onboarding processes, overseeing the mentoring program, and conducting research on changes in the industry; additionally, he or she will track budgets and communicate with professionals in other offices to ensure cohesive strategies.
Required Skills:
The qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and at least six years of professional development experience in a law firm or professional services setting. The team seeks a project-oriented individual with a solid understanding of best practices, highly effective communication skills, and the ability to establish rapport with attorneys. The Professional Development Manager should be able to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as sound judgement.
Annual Salary (US$): 130,000-180,000 /annual
