Position Description:
An exceptional law firm is seeking a Director of Business Development to play a leadership role regarding the firm’s client development, marketing, communications, competitive intelligence, and marketing technology initiatives. This position will involve collaborating with Practice Chairs on strategic business planning, identifying opportunities with new and existing clients, and recommending cross-selling where applicable. The Director will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of professionals, enhancing pitch and RFP processes, and ensuring cohesive messaging across all firm materials. In addition, this person will be tasked with coordinating a variety of client events, alumni programs, and marketing technology advancements.
Required Skills:
The firm seeks a legal marketing professional with a bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of progressive business development experience, including 6+ years at a managerial level. This person must display exceptional communication, client service, and project management skills, as well as the ability to find creative solutions to complex business needs. Additionally, the Director must be able to collaborate with Firm Leadership and develop highly effective working relationships with Partners. This individual should also be well-versed in Litigation and willing to travel to other firm locations.
Annual Salary (US$): 400,000-550,000 /annual
