Position Description:
A New York-based firm is seeking a Director of Library Services to lead their talented team of professionals. The role will involve administering the library system, developing and implementing technical services policies and procedures, and managing print and electronic resources. The Library Director will be expected to catalog new materials, update internal databases, and respond to research-related inquiries and requests from attorneys and staff. The position has first-hand responsibility for managing all library functions, including setting the budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying ways to enhance systems and processes.
Required Skills:
The qualified candidate must have at least ten years of experience in a legal library and a bachelor’s degree; an MLS or JD is highly preferred. The team seeks a candidate with strong technical skills, including familiarity with legal databases and legal publications. The ideal applicant will have the ability to work independently, adapt to changing demands, and apply excellent project management skills.
Annual Salary (US$): 180,000-225,000 /annual
