Position Description:
A luxury brand is seeking a Trademark Specialist to join a talented team of legal professionals in the Manhattan office. This role involves partnering with the General Counsel to support all aspects of IP protection and enforcement, in addition to preparing and filing a variety of trademark applications. The Specialist will be responsible for managing responses to office actions, submitting evidence, and updating IP databases, as well as monitoring deadlines to ensure timely filings. This person will also conduct trademark clearance searches and draft cease and desist letters as needed.
Required Skills:
This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal in a law firm or legal department, with a preference for individuals with luxury brand experience. This person should be well-versed in domestic trademark laws, IP docketing software, and document management systems. The Trademark Specialist should also demonstrate strong communication, project management, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
Annual Salary (US$): 120,000-150,000 /annual
