Position Description:
A sophisticated law firm is seeking a Class of 2019-2023 Associate to join the growing Mass Torts Practice in a role focused on case development and intake. The role will involve vetting cases, analyzing records, and supporting strategy decisions, as well as litigating matters as they advance. This person will be tasked with communicating with counsel regarding procedural issues, leading discovery sessions, and drafting discovery requests, interrogatories, and deposition notices. The Associate will also be tasked with conducting legal research, organizing materials for hearings, and drafting pleadings, as well as scheduling hearings and conferences.
Required Skills:
In addition to being in good standing with the New York Bar, this person must have exceptional writing, legal analysis, and research skills, as well as a proactive and entrepreneurial approach. The firm seeks an individual with prior experience in product liability or consumer protection, with the ability to work independently and deliver presentations to leadership.
Annual Salary (US$): 160,000-190,000 /annual
