Position Description:
A multi-office law firm is seeking a Billing Manager to be based in Boston, Hartford, New Haven, or Stamford. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the person in this role will oversee a team in the successful completion and distribution of client invoices. The Billing Manager will be responsible for implementing and enforcing billing policies, ensuring the implementation of outside counsel guidelines, and delegating workflow across the team. The person will be tasked with monitoring errors and issues within e-billing sites, training new team members, and implementing new technology as needed. The Manager will also maintain billing documentation, generate reports, and provide updates to firm leadership.
Required Skills:
The firm seeks a legal professional with 10+ years of billing experience, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity. This person must be able to work well independently while playing a leadership role and exercising strong communication, project management, and critical thinking skills. The Billing Manager should also have a bachelor’s degree and advanced proficiency in Excel and Aderant.
Annual Salary (US$): 130,000-150,000 /annual
