Position Description:
An outstanding law firm seeks a Media Relations Manager to join a talented team of professionals in the New York office. This position will involve determining the firm's PR and communication strategies, fostering positive relationships with journalists and reporters, and pitching the firm to various legal news outlets. This person will be responsible for drafting press releases and other media content, developing innovative marketing campaigns, and supporting the legal directory submission process. The Media Relations Manager will also be tasked with generating social media content, advising attorneys on media relations best practices, and collaborating with local and global colleagues to ensure a cohesive voice.
Required Skills:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of experience in a law firm or PR agency that services law firms. The qualified applicant will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as existing relationships with reporters as well as the ability to quickly establish rapport with external parties. The Media Relations Manager should have a commitment to client service, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to think strategically during high-pressure situations.
Annual Salary (US$): 120,000-155,000 /annual
