Position Description:
A global law firm is seeking a Public Relations Manager to spearhead media relations for several of the firm’s leading practice areas; this position can be based in a variety of locations, including New York, Washington, DC, and Houston. This person will develop and implement proactive PR strategies, foster relationships with journalists and other media professionals, and conduct daily media outreach on behalf of the attorneys. The PR Manager will be responsible for identifying thought leadership opportunities as well as writing a variety of press releases, deal announcements, and communications materials. Additionally, this position will involve maintaining editorial calendars, updating the firm’s media contacts list, and fielding incoming media calls.
Required Skills:
The firm seeks an individual with a bachelor’s degree and several years of media relations experience within a law firm or professional services setting. The qualified applicant will have terrific communication, project management, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to excel in a fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment. The PR Manager must be able to interact effectively with attorneys and serve as a spokesperson for the firm to external parties. Additionally, this person should be proficient with social media and communications technology with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Annual Salary (US$): 150,000-190,000 /annual
