Position Description:
A New York-based global law firm is seeking a Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer to direct a talented team of professionals in the development and execution of strategic business development activities. This position will involve collaborating with Practice Leaders on the creation of business development goals, overseeing the pitch and RFP process, and driving new business opportunities from conception to realization. The CMO will gather intelligence on firm clients and competitors, facilitate cross-selling initiatives, and provide coaching to attorneys on business development best practices. In addition, this leadership role will involve mentoring, training, and motivating staff, as well as conducting performance reviews and identifying ways to enhance internal systems and processes.
Required Skills:
The firm seeks a legal marketing professional with a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of leadership experience in AM100 or AM200 ranked law firms. The candidate selected for this opportunity will demonstrate credibility, persuasiveness, and resilience to find creative solutions to complex needs, as well as superior communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. The CMO must have proven budgeting, creative thinking, and leadership abilities, in addition to the ability to establish positive rapport with attorneys and staff. This person should be flexible to travel to other office locations and available to work in-office on a hybrid basis.
Annual Salary (US$): 450,000-600,000 /annual
