A prominent law firm seeks a Global Manager of Diversity & Inclusion to serve as a subject matter expert across the firm; this role can be based in New York, Washington, DC, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. The person in this role will oversee strategies to promote and establish practices that align with the firm’s diversity objectives. The Global Manager of Diversity & Inclusion will be responsible for the coordination of the mentorship program as well as other training and professional development initiatives. This role will involve analyzing hiring trends and actively seeking recruiting opportunities with diversity and inclusion as an emphasis. In addition, this person will monitor changes in the legal industry and represent the firm at diversity events.
The qualified candidate must possess an undergraduate degree and an advanced degree such as Master’s or JD is preferred. The firm requests a candidate with at least six years of experience in a related role, preferably in a law firm setting. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite are necessary, along with exceptional writing and communication skills. This person must possess a forward-thinking and collaborative attitude, familiarity with diversity best practices, and a confidential approach to personnel matters.
