A thriving law firm seeks a Business Development Manager to oversee the creation of pitches, RFP responses, and marketing materials in order to garner new business from current or prospective clients. This position will involve strategizing best practices, offering advice on client expansion opportunities, and providing one-on-one marketing coaching to the attorneys. Moreover, the BD Manager will partner with attorneys to coordinate sponsorships, events, and speaking engagements and oversee the preparation of directory submissions, while ensuring a cohesive marketing approach across practice areas. He or she will also have the chance to mentor and supervise junior team members.
The preferred candidate will have six or more years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment, and will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field. He or she will have an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, InterAction, and various e-marketing platforms, as well as excellent proofreading, writing, and editing skills. This BD Manager must be able to lead by example, communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, and apply a detail-oriented approach.
