Position Description:
An established law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join the New York office and oversee all elements of bankruptcy case management, including physical and electronic files, case calendaring, and tracking bankruptcy-related deadlines. The Bankruptcy Paralegal will assist attorneys with document preparation and review, coordination with clients, research, investigations, fact checking, and hearing preparation. Additionally, the Paralegal will draft legal documents (including routine retention and fee applications), file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures, and assist attorneys with trial preparation.

Required Skills:
The firm is seeking a qualified candidate with a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience. The Bankruptcy Paralegal must possess strong knowledge of filing through the CM/ECF filing system in all bankruptcy courts and strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition, familiarity with bankruptcy law and principles, court pleadings, and other related matters is needed. The Bankruptcy Paralegal should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.

Annual Salary (US$): 100,000-120,000 /annual
